Dr. Higgins is an instructor at The University of Georgia. She has taught
undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Education. Additionally, she
has served as a guest speaker for classes and covered topics related to career
preparation and diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Career Services in Higher Education
This course provides an introduction to career center models of operation
and trends among career centers. The course also addresses college students’
career development issues, trends, and techniques for assisting students.
Biracial and Multiracial Students
This course explores the diverse perspectives and experiences of biracial and
multiracial students. Topics include the historical, social and political contexts
that contribute to biracial and multiracial identities, biracial identity development
theories, and the self-identification process for biracial and multiracial students.

This course focuses on the processes of self-assessment, decision-making, career
exploration, and preparation for employment.
Academic and Career Planning
This course focuses on self-exploration, assessment of career and academic interests,
